Guest Comments:December 2012Chuck, We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your condo this month. It was our first trip to Kauai and we absolutely loved it. The location is amazing - the water is so close, the sound of the surf so relaxing. We saw beautiful sunsets, the surf was up for a few days so the surfers were out big time and that was fun to watch right from your deck. We enjoyed the many nice places to eat close by (Georgia says thanks for the tip on Brick Oven Pizza). There were a couple of days when we had some significant thunder storms and rain, so we just stayed home and relaxed. It was probably the most relaxing vacation that we have ever had. My wife says that we are definitely going to plan a return trip next year and we both would like to rent your condo again. So, I will be in touch to book some dates with you. Thanks again. ~ Malyn Malquist June, 2012 I brought my 87 year old mom to stay at this condo and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The view was stunning, amazing, gorgeous...We loved watching the surfers, sea turtles, sunsets and rolling waves. The condo was very comfortable and the photos display it accurately. It was great knowing Chuck (the owner) was just a phone call away. The only problem was we ate at home almost every night because we knew we wouldn't have a better view anywhere. We will definitely come back...Thank you for sharing your condo with us. ~ Laurie July 2011 We had such a good time at your condo. We loved the turtles and could have watched them all day. The Waimea canyon was spectacular. What a lovely island. We hope to return some day. We'll be dreaming of that view when we are knee-deep in winter in Saskatoon! Thanks again, ~ Peta and Gord Hi Chuck, As Peta has told you, we are really enjoying the condo. Fantastic views that never get tiring. The surfers last week were spectacular, since we had a big southerly swell for them to work. The sea turtles are endlessly fascinating too. We are slowly exploring the island but find it hard to leave the condo! All the best, Cheers, ~ Gord - Peta's husband (yes, I DO exist!!) We had a great time in Kauai and the accommodations were the best. My daughters reaction as we walked in was worth it all, the view just blew us away. Our time there did what we had hoped for, it gave us some very serene and restful moments. I am very appreciative of you hospitality. Thank you! ~ Scotty and Carrie Silva Chuck, Just wanted you to know we are having a fabulous time! Thank you so much for sharing your Kauai home with us. Albert and Robert are great! When we first arrived and I signed us in the register, I left my purse sitting by the table. When I went back for it, it was gone and I panicked! My drivers license....cash...credit cards... Luckily, Robert had spotted it and put it in the office. When I saw him (he had Security on his shirt), I asked him if anyone had turned in a purse...you cannot imagine how relieved I was that he had it. He is great. Off to the beach. Aloha! ~ Nan Dear Chuck, We really had the time of our lives on Kaua`i, especially since we had first class accommodations! We ate papaya & rolls each morning on the lanai as we watched sea turtles playing in the surf. Then, we prepared our lunch in the kitchenette. This enabled us to picnic anywhere we went, we were whimsical. :) We really couldn't have had a better honeymoon! Also, you were right about Brick Oven Pizza (Yummy!), Rays in Poipu, Bubba Burger in Kapa`a, and we had hula pie at Keoki's Paradise. Quite a variety, huh?! All were great. We had an awesome time. Of course, the snorkeling was the best ever. Thank you for sharing your Shangri-La! Mahalo! ~ Andy & Cindy Dear Chuck, Many thanks for allowing us to rent your lovely condos. Both were great! We enjoyed seeing the lovely sunrises and sunsets, the turtles, the dolphins and whales. We went everywhere on the island. We hiked, snorkeled, collected shells, swam and relaxed. The CD with the Hawaiian music ... was wonderful! It was a trip we will always remember. Hope all is well with you. Thanks again. ~ Cliff and Susan Dear Mr. Ballard, We wanted to take a minute to thank you for the excellent accommodations in #214 during our visit to Kauai in May. This was our 2nd time to rent from you and we must say, you are the best! You were able to fit us into your schedule and we were most grateful. The condo was like we were coming to our own home and was very warm and inviting. We did have a difficult time hearing the TV in the evenings because the surf was so loud, not that we are complaining! How awesome is that to hear the surf in all rooms?! The beds were comfortable, the place was spotless and you provided everything we could have needed. The tenants prior to us left a lovely vase of tropical flowers so we did the same for your next guests. We took your advice on the Brick Oven Pizza, and you were right, it is the best! We would love to come back and stay with you again and appreciate your hospitality. Thank you for a most memorable vacation. We have told all of our family and friends about "our" condo and we are the envy of the town! With warmest Aloha and Mahalo, ~ Wendy and Jason Hi Chuck, We really enjoyed your condo, it was just perfect for our family and what a spectacular location! We must have at least a hundred photos from the lanai, most of the sunset or just the lovely view. And we just loved Kaua`i. We had a lot of lovely experiences and family memories. We did snorkel in front of the condo and were treated to a view of sea turtles. We also enjoyed watching them from the lanai, feeding off the rocks near the shore in the early morning. The snorkeling on the beach adjoining the Beach House was great too. In fact, both seem to be regular spots for snorkel trips. Another huge treat (for me, at least) was a visit to the beach by a monk seal Christmas Eve. He/she slept in the sun all day. Not often that you can stand next to an endangered species and snap photos of it as it sleeps. Hard to be back in the gray and cold of Indiana. ~ Eileen Hack, Thanks again. Hi Chuck, Just a note to say Thank You for a great vacation. Your condo was awesome, I have to say that my vacation this year was the very best ever. Sure hope to be able to go back soon. I am returning your pictures so that they can be used again. Your new friend, ~ Sharon Good morning Chuck, I wanted to extend a gracious thank you for the wonderful stay we had at your condo at Kuhio Shores. It was perfect for us. We hope to someday visit your beautiful island again. The memories that we have will be for the rest of our lives. It was absolutely incredible. Sincerely, ~ John & Melanie |
