Kuhio Shores 316

This Exceptional and Unmatched Designer-Decorated Oceanfront Honeymoon Suite is located on the sunny South Shore of Hawaii's Garden Island. Our luxurious condo is just 30 feet from the ocean. It offers 180-degree coastline views from the lanai, and ocean views from every room. Watch the sun set into the ocean, and drift off to sleep each night with the sights and sound of the waves pounding at your doorstep. And by gently sliding the hand crafted Shoji bedroom doors opened, you will enjoy the warmth of the morning Sunrise.

Don't be misled by large "oceanfront" resorts where your room is actually blocks from the water. This is the real thing: Hawaii's Garden Island of Kauai at its best! Kuhio Shores is centrally located in Poipu and if it was any closer to the water, you'd be wet. Directly out front of your lanai is Kauai's premier surfing and snorkeling spots. Five additional beaches are located within walking distance, as are golf courses, tennis, restaurants, shopping and the spectacular Spouting Horn blow hole.

Our Honeymoon Suite is a Showcase of Quality and Professional Tropical Design with Rich Hand Crafted Brazilian Cherrywood through out, Jen Air appliances, Warm Egyptian Sand Stone Flooring, Beautiful Granite Counter-tops, Marble Shower, 32 inch Plasma TV/DVD Surround Sound. Wall to Wall Mirrors, Hand Crafted Shoji doors, Fine Cookware and Tommy Bahama Linens and Furnishings. When only the best will do... I promise you, this Honeymoon Suite is Unmatched in Kuhio Shores Period.

Here are just a few of our exceptional amenities: An inviting, spacious, floor plan in which every room opens up to beautiful sights and sound of the Blue Pacific Ocean. Enjoy watching the turtles feed just below your living room or do some snorkeling directly out front. We can accommodate up to 4 adults with a spacious Master Suite featuring a King Size bed and Trundle Sofa Sleeper in the living room with all linens provided. We even include Internet and computer desk, beach chairs, beach towels and cooler for our guests!

Come visit Kauai, there's more to do here than you can imagine!

Hi Linette and Mark – we are thinking of staying here in November – can you give us your recommendation? How did you feel not having a pool – or did it matter? How far was a beach and could you walk?
Cheryl

Hi Cheryl
This is a really nice place – fantastic actually. We split our stay in Kauai between two accommodations – we wish now that we had stayed the whole time at Kuhio Shores.
We didn’t miss having a pool at all, but the weather was quite cool while we were there. If it had been warmer, we might have. Mind you, the beach is literally steps away from the condo building so you could quickly and easily go for a dip in the ocean if you wanted to hit the water. If you like to snorkel, you’ll be happy to hear that there are snorkeling beaches on both sides of the building, and sea turtles swimming around and sleeping under coral heads literally right out from the balcony. I’ve attached a couple of pictures for you that we took of them there.
The suite itself is really nice. We especially appreciated that there were extra linens available (not so at the other place we stayed) since we were in and out of the water a lot (snorkeling) and washing sunscreen off, etc. The kitchen is fantastic. A huge fridge, micro, etc. Perfect for making your own meals or maitai’s if you were so inclined. There were all kinds of beach gear out on the lanai too – a cooler, snorkel fins, beach mats. Not sure if that stuff is always there or not, but it was great to have a cooler and beach mats to take on day trips. There’s a nice stereo and DVD player too, but you need to bring your own of those along.
You might find this condo a bit pricier than some of the others on the market, but it’s worth every penny. The family who was staying in the condo next door asked us all kinds of questions about 316. Theirs was pretty bare-bones in comparison. Let me know if there’s anything else I can tell you about.
Cheers, Linette

Aloha Rick and Kathy!
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful condo in Kauai. The accommodation was exceptional in every respect. We’d be happy to serve as a reference for you to anyone who might like to speak with someone who’s stayed there. Having an assortment of spices, condiments and extra’s (read: cherries for our mai tai’s!) in the fridge was especially appreciated, as were the generous number of fluffy towels and linens...
Unfortunately, the weather during our short time in Kauai was not as good as we'd hoped. It rained pretty much every day we were there, which really got in the way of enjoying the sights and adventures available on the island. We made the best of our stay though and considered ourselves very fortunate to have such great snorkeling available so close to "home". I’ve attached a couple of pictures we took just off shore from your lanai. Amazing! Feel free to use these on your website if you like.
Kuhio Shores 316 will be on the top of our list for places to stay.
Mahalo!

Hi Guys. Thanx for the info on the Security Deposit. As for our trip...........where do I start? Rick, I called you our first day to tell you how thrilled Susan and I were about Kuhio Shores. Seldom am I speechless but Good Lord, what an exquisite setting. This Condo was everything we though it would be and like nothing we expected. We made 316 our home for the next 11 remarkable days. The weather was WONDERFUL (true, it is always sunny at Poipu) Both of us love to cook and the kitchen was a joy to create daily seafood dishes in. Jenn-Air equipment was a super touch. We only ate Supper out on our last day at the Beach House(it was Valentine's Day ). Our biggest decision was which beach to visit for the day. Off we would go in our Sebring convertible(a must) to explore this most wonderful Island. We took a 'copter excersion around the Island and also let HOLO- HOLO charter take us to the Na Pali coast for a sunset sail. The biggest thing was that we were able to RELAX. 316 allowed us to do just that. Sunsets from our lani were breathtaking to say the least.
We found food shopping was easy as Big Save was just a short juant up to Koloa, or into town for Costco.
Thank you Thank you Thank you for allowing us to share your remarkable Condo for the vacation of a lifetime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. The only downside was trying to figure out how to use the surround sound/CD system. Mabye a quick "how to" sheet for the electronics.
Mahalo and Aloha. WE WILL RETURN...............................

Rick - Tom here. Margie's getting ready for our next outing.
No problem on staying over. Glad to see you're renting it out and keeping it full.
I honestly don't know how your place could be any nicer! This is a real diamond. We're considering staying here until you have the authorities remove us! We took the ultralight flight along the coast and were amazed at what we could see. A baby humpback feeding on her mom, huge manta rays with 14' wingspans, and large schools of dolphins. I had the pilot get a special photo of the front of your place and can send it if you're interested. Let us know.
Take care and thanks for everything.

Dear Kathy & Rick, I received my security deposit today and just wanted to thank you again for your kindness in letting us stay an extra night. It was a wonderful stay and the amenities could not be better. Hope to see you again soon.
Sincerely,
Jeanne

P.S. Love the big TV in the Kitchen - the barstools are so comfortable, it is a beautiful place.

Rick and Kathy,
We really enjoyed our 10 day honeymoon in Kauai and our 3 night stay in your condo. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the refrigerator. It helped us get settled! We thought the condo was very modern in its decorating and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing and gazing at all the stars (can't see anywhere close to that many stars in Va). It was a great location...close to fine dining, shopping, beaches, sights. We ate at Roy's, The Beach House and Tidepools and all 3 were great but the Beach House was our favorite. We had a table at the front with no obstruction of our view of the ocean. Plus it was nice to be able to walk to dinner instead of drive. The weather didn't cooperate with us the day we went up to the top of Waimea Canyon so we got a postcard to imagine the view we would have had!
We would definitely recommend your place to our friends and would definitely return when we get the chance. We felt that everything we needed was available although we didn't spend much time in the condo...we spent most of our days exploring the south and west sides of the island. Thanks again for sharing your condo with us!

Dear Rick and Kathy,
I am almost at a loss for words to describe how wonderful our trip and stay in Kuhio Shores 316 was. In my husband's exact words, "it exceeded my expectations." In fact, he is convinced that there is no better place in Kauai, or even the world that could match the amenities and spectacular view of your condo. What a lovely time we had. You hear the expression "jaw-dropping" but don't personally experience it often. However, that is exactly what happened to both of us, as weary from our long flight, we unlocked the door and were faced with the most spectacular view imaginable. That is a memory etched in our minds forever. We knew from that moment that we were going to have a wonderful time and we did!!
Thank you for the chilled bottle of champagne that you left waiting for us. We sat on our lanai, watching the surfers, enjoying the sunset and toasted our 36th anniversary. . . Kauai was the perfect island for us and because we left some things still on our "to-do" list, we are considering a return trip and would definitely love to stay with you again.
Sincerely,
Laurel

PS: We replaced the broken cork screw that we found in the drawer and left it behind for others to enjoy their "sunset" wine on the lanai.
OH, how I wish I were back there right now. . .

Rick and Kathy,
Thank you for the use of your condo... it is beautiful! We walked in and my first thought was "this is the nicest place we've ever stayed!" You did a great job remodeling... attention to detail. We loved it. The location was perfect, we snorkeled in front of the Beach House a few times (also ate there!) The weather was great-we kayaked the wailua, did a helicopter ride, saw the waimea canyon... all amazing. Stayed at the north shore (HBR) the first few nights and hiked the na pali, snorkeled Ke'es, tunnels, hideaways...our vacation was perfect beyond words. I will recommend your place to everyone i know traveling to this island paradise. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! I miss it and wish we were there!!!

Aloha!
We want to say "Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo" for introducing us to your absolutely EXQUISITE! condo at Kuhio Shores (Unit 316). We had seen the pictures on the website, so we had an inkling of how great it was, but when we opened the door our first night in Kauai, all we could say was "Oh my God, oh my God!" Everything - from the light fixtures, to the furniture, from the wainscoating and mouldings to the kitchen appliances and bed linens, was of such high quality and so elegant it took our breath away! We enjoyed your beautiful condo for ten days, and we appreciated it so much that we treated it like our own home (I found myself dusting the baseboards!).
We have referred so many people to you already! I think you've been e-mailing with our friend Jeff Eshelman (ToyForks) and have given your website to several of my husband's customers. By the way, Gene will be sending you a self-addressed-stamped envelope; will you please send us a bunch of your business cards? We ourselves will almost certainly be re-booking with you next year. Your remodel has made loyal fans of us!
We may also be in touch regarding your Southern California property, as I (Valerie) am planning a girl's getaway this spring or summer.
Mahalo again - Kauai holds so many special memories for us, and your place in Kuhio Shores has added so many more very memorable ones. We hope to meet you sometime.
Your new friends in Minnesota-
Gene and Valerie

We just returned from our stay at Kuhio Shores. Just about everything is awesome about this place. It was easy to find, parking was easy, pleasant lobby, and then we arrived to our amazing unit. This place is great because of the location alone, but unit #316 has just been remodeled and is incredible. I can't give enough description to how nice this place is. Every detail was considered. From the beautiful kitchen with the complimentary bottle of Champaign chilling for us, to the furnishings, soft linens, comfortable bed, flat screen TV's and more. It was pouring rain our whole vacation, but it didn't seem so bad with such a great place to stay in.

We had a wonderful time in your romantic, exotic honeymoon condo #316 at Kuhio Shores! Even though it rained quite a bit, we were content there! We enjoyed the helicopter ride with Jack Harter's. We enjoyed the sunset views at Kuhio and a few whales passing by. We loved Waimea Canyon and the short hike on Pihea Trail overlooking Kalalau Valley. A beautiful island we hope to visit again someday!
We will pass your website onto friends and family interested in Hawaii/California vacations.
Mahalo,

Aloha Rick and Kathy,
Just wanted to thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us. Wow! Don't think we could find anyplace on the islands with a better view. And the remodel job was amazing. We enjoyed ourselves so much more there (even with the rain) than we did over at Honolulu (it poured the whole time there. Really just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your place. Mahalo,
Jeff and Gwen Minor

Kuhio Shores is located in the area known as Poipu just south of Old Town Koloa. The building is less than 2 miles from Poipu Beach and it is also within walking distance of Spouting Horn. Prince Kuhio Park is located across the street as is the Prince Kuhio condo resort.
